YVECOURT BORDEAUX ROUGE 2015 : 85/100
Very youthful appearance, medium-deep ruby-purple. Pure nose. Still very youthful. Indicating just freshly crushed berries, almost like coming after the press. But very nice and pleasurable fruit. Sweet plum, red berries. There is a mild spiciness and no indication of oak. The palate is on the lighter side and it is certainly a style which is made in a very much subtle and rounded style. Modern vinification, no hard edges just a lot of pleasurable juicy fruit. Drinks very well now, this is certainly a style to be consumed rather young. So clean, fresh, rounded and well-made offering a lot of pleasure.
YVECOURT BORDEAUX SAUVIGNON 2015 : 84/100
Very pale colour, almost colourless with a green hue. Still with a presence of CO2. Youthful nose, with a good purity here. Very much Sauvignon with some fresh herbs. Hints of fresh grapes, with barely ripe melon and pear. There is no oak to talk about. Very light palate, with a youthful freshness. Zesty notes of lemon and lime. Quite steely and firm on the finish. Moderate length. Attractive and cheerful wine for early drinking.
10. February 2016 / Yvecourt 2015 vintage and the Jury of Great Cellar Masters
On 5 February, the Jury of Grand Cellar Masters met to taste various blends and select the forthcoming 2015 vintage of our red, rosé and white Bordeaux wines. Thanks to their expertise and attention to detail, these loyal partners helped us to assess the different samples (aromas, aging potential etc.) so as to ensure that Yvecourt remains an aromatic, “fruity and well-balanced wine” just the way you like it.
